SASI Press release 21 December 2020

The venue for Skiffie Worlds 2022 has been decided by SASI to be held in Kortgene, The Netherlands from 27th June untill 2nd July.

Kortgene offers sheltered rowing on brackish water and has facilities that will be able to handle the racing in a way that will bring the excitement up close for the onlookers.

SASI is well aware of the difficult COVID19 situation in the various areas of operation, but with the announcement hopes to bring perspective for all St Ayles Skiff rowers worldwide.

So after Ullapool, Strangford and Stranraer it is now Kortgene, a small village in the province of Zeeland well known for its watersports, that will bring the 4th edition of this exciting championship. SASI is working with the Dutch St Ayles Skiff Association and a consortium of Slooprowing fraternity in Kortgene in making this event a success.

We wish all St Ayles rowers a merry Christmas and best wishes for 2021.
